A Dataset is a collection of data of one or more columns from a single table or multiple tables organized for processing by business intelligence software to extract meaningful information and generate reports, charts, maps and create different visualization.


The source of the data can vary depending how the organization are managing their data, It may from a JDBC, Flat file, Web service etc. regardless of how the data is stored, once the connection bridge is built between the Database and AIS (Active Intelligence Server) user can create different datasets relevant to different departments and users within the organization.     


Using the Datasets section user can perform the following tasks:

A Database include tables containing data organized in row and column

In the above example, first row contains data for customerId 101, having customerId, firstName- Lois, lastName- Weiss, city- Berlin.

Second row contains data of customerId 102, having customerId, firstName- Andrew, lastName- Hines, city- Stamford.
